The AVS Ball Screw Power Drive uses a ball screw shaft with a ball bearing nut to change the rotary motion of a gearmotor to the linear motion required to open and close the ventilation curtain or panels. The ball bearing technology decreases friction and increases power transfer efficiency. The Ball Screw can manage up to 2000 pounds of curtain. It is available as a 6-ft, 5-ft, 4-ft or 3-ft unit. There is an optional power drop (patent pending) feature which automatically drops the curtain or opens vents should there be a loss of power. When power is restored, the drive will re-engage and return to standard operation. A delay drop is an available option for the power fail model; it keeps the clutch energized for limited time to cover momentary losses of power. |

The AVS Mini Ball Screw is a lighter version of the Ball Screw Power Drive. It is designed for the lighter load of vent doors and tunnel curtains. It is available in two lengths: 4-ft and 18-inches. |

The Inline Drive has a actuator arm that extends and retracts to operate curtains, doors, or louvers. It has adjustable open and close limit switches and backup switches to prevent overrunning. It is available in 6-ft, 5-ft, 4-ft, 3-ft, or 18-inch lengths. Travel speed can be 4 inches per minute (40 rpm motor) or 10.7 inches per minute (107 rpm motor). |

The Linear Actuator has a smaller load capacity (600 pounds), and a 22 inch travel length. |
